At Northwestern University, David Fite swam competitively while studying Economics and Computer Science. He added an MBA in Finance from the Stephen M. Ross School of Business at the University of Michigan, and then made a big splash in the corporate world as a Vice President of Investment Management at Goldman Sachs, Vice President of Real Estate Finance at Cendant Corporation and then as CFO at The Corcoran Group and CFO of Douglas Elliman.
David recognized that the large corporate real estate model often limits potential. Seeing the opportunity to fuse the best aspects of all his corporate experiences with the flexibility and personal attention that active ownership and management could bring, David moved his family south intent on becoming a winner in the Palm Beach real estate race. David Fite's extensive experience as the CFO of the two largest real estate firms in New York has prepared him well for his dream project: the founding of Fite Shavell & Associates.
